Micheal Alan Hartill

03/31/1958 - 05/04/2022

On May 4, 2022, Micheal Alan Hartill (Mike), loving husband, father of three and grandfather of five, passed away at the age of 64. Mike was born to David Hartill and Dorcas Belles (nee Lawrence) on March 31, 1958, in Garden Grove, California. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Oregon in 1977 where he later married Janet Lorraine Puncochar They had three children.

Mike is survived by his wife, of 36 years, Allison Lee Hartill (nee Sweetman); his sons Todd Michael Hartill of Arbuckle, California and spouse, Bethany Hartill, Dustin Alan Hartill of Temecula, California and spouse, Gina Bayse, and daughter Nicole Marie Hartill of Sacramento, California. Mike was blessed with five grandchildren; Grant Michael Hartill (21), Drew Benjamin Hartill (20), Noah Alan Hartill (16) and Payton Beth Hartill (10); his father David Edward Hartill and spouse, Shirley Purcell; his mother Dorcas Marie Belles and spouse, Raymond Belles; brothers David Hartill, Jr. and Ken Hartill, sisters Gayle Hartill-Meyers, Lisa Hartill-Powlison and Katrina Hartill-Spencer along with Dale and Diane Lawrence, uncle and aunt of Irvine, California along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike is proceeded in death by his grandson Carter David Hartill (13) in 2020.

When living in Oregon, Mike worked for Globe Battery, Freightliner and Rancho Flowers where he and Allison met. Mike went to work for RiteAid (formerly Payless Drug Stores) in Wilsonville, Oregon and was transferred to Woodland, California to open the new distribution center with other families from Oregon. Mike enjoyed a full tenure in management with RiteAid and retired in November of 2021.

Mike was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with friends during deer season each year in the mountains off Forest Hwy 7 on Pinto Ridge. He enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. He loved spending time with his family traveling to Colorado for hunting trips and to Southern California to watch his grandson’s motorcycle races. He had the opportunity to do some traveling with his wife, Allison, to the East Coast, Hawaii and Mexico.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Arbuckle Golf Club on May 27, 2022, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, Mike would want those who wish to express sympathy, to consider making a donation directly to the Carter Hartill Memorial Fund.

The Carter Hartill Memorial Fund gives back to the community by helping out Colusa County youth through scholarships, various sports programs and local 4H programs.
