Brenda Patricia Herrod (Vaudin) (Preece), age 93, passed away peacefully on March 27th 2024 – surrounded by her loving family. Brenda was a devoted mother, dedicated nurse, and beloved member of her community.
Originally from Canada, Brenda moved to the US, pursuing a career as a registered nurse, where she served her community for over 30 years. She was known for her compassionate care and dedication to her patients.
In addition to her nursing career, Brenda was an active and adventurous soul. She enjoyed skiing, both on water and snow, traveling, playing bridge, and being a farmer’s wife. She was an active member of her church and dedicated much of her time to serving others.
Brenda had a love for music and the arts with her friends. She had a zest for life, an infection wit and a contagious enthusiasm that touched all who knew her.
Brenda will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Colusa, CA on April 13th 2024 at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Stephen’s in Brenda’s honor. Afterwards, please join us at the Colusa Country Club for lunch.
