Barbara Ann Walker • 7/19/1951 – 04/12/2024

Barbara Ann Walker, long time resident of Colusa, passed away April 12th, 2024 at Rideout Hospital at the age of 72, peacefully in her sleep.

Barbara was born July 19th, 1951 in Yuma, AZ to Alfredo Duron and Eliza Benzor. A few years later Barbara would find herself in Colusa, CA. Barbara was a graduate of Colusa high School in 1969. Barbara had a couple of jobs until she found employment in 1974 with Colusa Farm Credit, retiring in 2014 after 40 years of service.

In 1972 she met Ed Walker and was wed in 1975, having two children, Gilbert (deceased) and Jayanne.

Barbara committed her life to her family. She is preceded in death by her son Gilbert Walker, brothers Joey Gutierrez and Paul Duron, both parents, and brother-in-law Thomas Gwinnup.

She is survived by her daughter Jayanne Walker (Allen Sheley) of Colusa, four grandchildren Shane Saso (Alissa Selover) of Penn State College, Conner Saso (Taryn Oberle) of Roseville, Mason Saso (Abby Myers) of San Diego State, and Kaydence Sheley, her siblings Jim Duron (Lesha) of Yuba City, Genny Berlin (Gus) of Colusa, Beatrice Campbell (Alan) of Colusa, Joanne Murillo (Rangel) of Sacramento, and Charles Duron (Berta) of Anaheim. She had numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Barbara devoted her life to her grandchildren. From shopping to sports and score keeping, traveling anywhere they went. She would be there. Family vacations, to living room gatherings, she loved the time and memories. Barbara was proud of her family and their accomplishments to include her nieces and nephews military careers, law enforcement and more.

Barbara had a love of Elvis, Forty-Niners, and a great night of Bingo! Barbara touched the lives of many people with her kindness, smile and warm heart. Barbara will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Graveside services will be on April 25th, 2024 at the Holy Cross Cemetery at 1:00 pm with celebration of life to follow at the Colusa VFW Hall Friends and family are encouraged to join and share the memories they have made
with Barbara.
