Forest Ranch, CA – Darlene Marie Perez Lovie passed away peacefully in Chico, California, on March 17, 2024.
Darlene was born June 12, 1944, at Colusa Memorial Hospital, to Frank and Irene Perez of Princeton, California.
Darlene is survived by her husband James Vernon Lovie; her sons Gerry (Beth) and Booner (Kim) Nall, stepchildren Richard Baughman, Kelly Rawlinson (Russ), Michelle Lewis and her two brothers Rick Perez (Tori) and Frank Perez Jr. (Sandy). Darlene also had 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Mumm Perez, and her mother Irene Bernice Perez (Perry).
Darlene enjoyed traveling with her husband Jim and seeing many beautiful places in the US and Mexico during their adventures. She loved spending time with her and Jim’s children, their spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Darlene also adored her Australian Shepherd, Shadow, who always has a special place in her heart.
Darlene was a true adventurer throughout life being an avid water sport enthusiast and dirt bike riding with her boys. She really enjoyed time in their RV and camping with her family and friends. She loved her time over these last years playing Bunco, her book club with friends and she enjoyed laughter along with a nice glass of wine. Darlene enjoyed following her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events if not in person, through regular updates.
Darlene spent her working years as a bookkeeper, a volunteer fire fighter, and she also worked in retail for several years on her adventures with Camping World.
Darlene was respected and loved by her many friends and her family who will miss her very much.

A celebration of Darlene’s life is set for May 18th at 2:00 in Granzella’s Banquet Room, 457 7th Street, Williams. You can make donations to the Humane Society on Darlene’s behalf in lieu of flowers.
