Barbara Ellen Messick passed away peacefully December 27, 2021 with family by her side at the age of 91 years old.
She was born August 15, 1930 to Charles and Myrtle Betterton.
She is survived by her son, Taylor Rew, his wife Diane and by her daughter, Laurel Rew. Also, by her granddaughter Laura Rew and grandsons, Michael Rew, Jonah Lovendahl, Antonio Troia, Abraham Troia and Joseph Troia.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Kirk H. Messick and survived by his children, Kirk Messick, Lisa McCracken, Brian Messick and Marilyn McGowan and 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Barbara was a hard-working organizer down to the last detail. Her spirited energy was felt by all.
Barbara’s wishes were to have a private graveside service held for family members.
She will be missed! ■
