Jim married the love of his life, Tricia, 35 years ago.  Together, they raised German Shorthair Pointers, enjoyed fishing on the Sacramento river near Colusa, CA, and enjoyed fishing trips to Baja California.  Jim is survived by his wife Tricia Cleland, brother Tom Cleland, mother-in-law Litha Tomlinson, daughter Tracy Dietz, son Jamie Cleland, step-daughter Sheree Dutton, and six grandchildren: Tate, Taylor, Lexi, Eva, Christopher, and Connor.

Jim will be remembered for his love of life, great sense of humor, compassion for others, passion for good fishing, good cooking, and good friends.  Jim will be honored in a memorial at the Colusa Golf and Country Club, 2224 State Hwy 20, Colusa, CA 95932, 12 PM to 3 PM, on Dec. 18, 2021.
