Phyllis A. Harris

November 6, 1927 - August 28, 2021

Phyllis A. Harris, of Maxwell, passed away Aug. 28, 2021, at the age of 93.

She was born on Nov. 6, 1927 and raised in Sacramento.

Phyllis moved to Maxwell in 1948. She loved the San Francisco Giants and was a lifelong follower. She loved riding through the countryside and Frappes, or “freezes” as she would call them. 

In her younger years, Phyllis loved to paint. She also enjoyed puzzles, particularly constructing jigsaw puzzles.

Phyllis worked as a banker with Crocker/WellsFargo Bank, and retired after 25 years. She was a longtime member of the Maxwell Methodist Church and Maxwell American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 218.  

Phyllis was preceded in death on May 5, 1987, by her husband, Avery Harris, who served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. 

She is survived by her children Clay Jones (Kathy); Celeste Azevedo (Timmy); Charlene Cain (Donn); and Clint Harris (Ginger); seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
