Carol Jean Sites left us Friday, January 29, 2021, just 5 months shy of her 100th birthday. She was born June 25, 1921 in Southern California to Rene and Clara Higgins and passed away in Vancouver, Washington.
Carol spent most of her life in Williams, CA . Her husband , Elwood Sites, preceded her in death.
Carol was known for her magnificent flowers and garden and was an exceptional seamstress. She spent many years as the librarian at Williams High School. For the past 20 years, she lived in an assisted living home in Vancouver.
Carol is survived by her sister, Lorene Sowash, of Banning, CA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Four children survive her: Dennis (Millie) of Salinas, CA, James (Mary) of Woodland, WA, William (Wei) of Lincoln, CA , and Debra Ashton (Art) of Vancouver, WA.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren : William (Sunshine) and Daniel (Jennifer) Sites, Jeffrey (Robin) and Tim(Jenny) Sites, Brhieanna and Justin Sites, Eric (Meghan) Isaacson and Amy (Dale) Ivie and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a private burial service in Williams later this year. –
