Frank A. Rogers Jr.

1948-2021

Frank A. Rogers Jr. passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 72. Frank was born on October 7, 1948,  in Colusa to Frank (Al) and Rose Rogers. Frank is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Rogers.  

Frank was a native of Colusa who had left for his education but ultimately returned to his roots. He graduated from Colusa High School then furthered his education at Oregon State University and University of Davis becoming a licensed pharmacist. He worked as a pharmacist locally and then decided to pursue his passion in agriculture. He enjoyed being a diverse farmer, and bringing new opportunities to the valley such as building the North Valley Cotton Gin in the 1990s. He also was a board member of multiple water districts including Reclamation District 1004, Reclamation District 108, and Sutter Butte Slough Water Association. He expanded his entrepreneurial spirit by opening multiple restaurants and taverns, he enjoyed the social atmosphere that they provided. 

Frank had a huge heart and always was quick to support and lend a helping hand to his friends as well as his community. Frank will be deeply missed by his family members, numerous friends, and multiple members throughout the community. He is survived by his daughter Cheyenne Rogers, his son, Luke (Stephanie) Ham, and grandchildren Hunter J. King, Caleb Ham, and Wesley Ham. He is also survived by his brother John Rogers and his children, Adam, Michael, Janelle, and Blake. And his sister-in-law, Maxi Rogers, and her children Ben and Sara. As well as multiple cousins, and numerous great nieces and nephews. 

There will be a general public viewing on February 8, 2021, from 5 PM to 7 PM at McNary-Moore Funeral Service at 107 “ 5th Street, Colusa. 

Services will be held outside on February 11, 2021,  at 11 AM located in the parking lot of St. Bernadettes Hall, Colusa. Graveside services to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colusa. And a  celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

Donations may be made in his name to the Frank Rogers Memorial Fund at Tri Counties Bank to support local youth clubs including Future Farmers of America, 4-H, youth athletic programs and the O.L.L. school. –
