Walt followed the philosophy that life should be well lived. He believed in true friendship, devotion to family, supporting those most dear. He worked very hard and found success. Then there was laughter, a remarkable quick wit, an unmatched sense of humor. Oh, the stories that are out there could most certainly fill a book, maybe a best seller.
Walt met and married Susan in 1962, then sharing nearly 59 years together. He properly welcomed and supported beloved son, Stephen. Later came the two most incredible grandsons ever, Erik and Cole. Great times they shared.
Football was essential in Walts life, and golf became a passion. Memorable moments shared with great friends and his ” boys. Walt found great happiness and satisfaction with his career in the rice industry, even becoming a rice grower himself.
Walt passed away too soon on January 20.

His father, Walt, and his brother, Wayne, preceded him. Walt leaves behind his loving Susan, adoring son Steve, grandsons Erik and Cole, and their amazing beautiful mother, Tina. Also Lissa and Bob, and their family, plus so many dear longtime friends. You know who you are!
Walt wished there to be no services. It is hoped that you will all remember the good times. May those many memories bring smiles and joy in your heart. Walt would be so very happy. –
