Michael Richard Kilgore, passed away at the age of 70, on February 10, 2024, in Arbuckle, CA.
Mike was born to Joan Lorraine (Ayers) and Frank (Mick) Richard Kilgore on May 28, 1953, at the Woodland Clinic Hospital, in Woodland, CA.
Mike grew up in Arbuckle attending Arbuckle Elementary, Pierce High School and Sierra College. He worked as a farm hand for various farmers in the area. He worked for the Colusa County Road Department. He was a mink farmer for 3 years in Connecticut and
a Schwann’s delivery man for 7 years.
For the last 27 years of his life he enjoyed being a carpenter. He loved designing decks, remodels, additions, cabinets, barn doors and furniture. Some of his favorite customers were the elderly ladies of Arbuckle that needed a small job done.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and RVing to Fort Bragg, Hat Creek, and Tucson, AZ with family and friends.
Mike is survived by his wife, Gale, of 42 years; children, Nick (Heather) Kilgore, Holly (Andy) Sweet, Chris (Michele) White, and Laura (Mike) Kley; grandchildren, Mitchell and Ryssa Kley, Beck, Oak and Canyon Kilgore, Everett and Elizabeth White, and Thomas, Benjamin and Maxton Sweet; brother Scott Kilgore and sister, Carole (Gary) Cain; Aunt Bonnie Hoschler and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Joan Kilgore, grandparents, Duncan, Marion and Vivian Kilgore, and Leonard and Virginia Ayers.
A celebration of life, officiated by Pastor Rod Brayfindley, will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11am, at the Arbuckle Fire Department.
