Loving father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away in Chico, Ca on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Robert was born March 13, 1962, in Colusa California to Roberto and Carmen Apaseo. Robert was the fifth child of seven children to his parents.
Robert grew up in Colusa, CA where he attended Colusa High School. Robert played Football, Soccer, and Track for the Colusa Redskins graduated class of 1980.
Robert worked at Sunsweet dryers as a forklift driver for many years, then later moved to Chico, CA in 2004, where he raised his children. Robert was also a avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Rober is survived by his son Oscar (Yareli) Apaseo of Chico, CA and his daughters DeLeighney Apaseo and Coralye Apaseo of Yreka, CA and grandson Oscar Apaseo Jr.
His is also survived by his siblings Ernest Apaseo, Jovita (Bob) Bassett, Octavio Apaseo, Jaime Apaseo, Diana (Felix) Trujillo, and Marisa Apaseo. Nephews Vincent, Justin, Diego, and Isaac. Nieces Hayley, Zayna and Gisselle Robert was proceeded in death by his parents Roberto and Carmen Apaseo.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the family’s home in Colusa, CA.■
