After a near sweep of Paradise on Sept. 20, the RedHawks tennis team was edged at home 5-4 by Live Oak in its second match of the week.
On the road against the Bobcats, Colusa won each of the six singles matches in straight sets.
No. 1 Olivia Nair prevailed 6-2, 7-6 in what was the most closely contested match, while No. 2 Savanna Rochette emerged with a 6-2, 6-0 victory.
The rest of the ladder, which included No. 3 Vianey Farias (6-1, 6-2), No. 4 Joanna Rodriguez (6-1, 6-2), No. 5 Ashley Perez (6-1, 6-1) and No. 6 Sofia Benitez (6-1, 6-0) also took care of business in relatively easy fashion.
In doubles play, Nair and Rochette downed their opponents 8-1, while the duo of Farias and Rodriguez outlasted its adversaries 8-5.
Following up against the visiting Lions Sept. 22, the RedHawks got singles triumphs from Rochette (6-1, 6-1), Farias (6-1, 6-0) and Perez (6-1, 4-6, 10-3), but only managed one win in doubles with the pair of Farias and Rodriguez again vanquishing its opponents 8-5.
