Princeton falls to Big Valley

Playing host to Big Valley last Thursday, the Eagles were unable to slow down the Cardinals and, as a result, dropped their first game of the season by a score of 62-44.

Jose Hernandez led Princeton (3-1,1-1), rushing 19 times for 140 yards and three touchdowns, while additionally completing six of nine passing attempts for 156 yards.

It was a big game for receiver Corwyn Robeson, who caught two balls for 104 yards, including one for a 40-yard score.

Alex Medina was on the receiving end of a 10-yard touchdown pass, also from Hernandez.

On defense, Cris Winn made 10 tackles, with Hernandez and Robeson collecting nine apiece, while Medina finished with two interceptions.

Princeton, which finds itself in fourth place in the standings, is off this week, but heads to Hayfork on Oct. 14 for its third California-Division II (8-Man) League contest.
