Life is good: Battles and victories

Many of us lost a friend this week when Gene Beauchamp and his brother-in-law Phil passed. I didn’t know Phil, but I had seen for years, Gene reaching out and supporting his community. He will be missed.

The battle continues to keep the wild horse herd in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The herd’s supporters are encouraging Park visitors to write letters in support of keeping the herd. Letters can be sent to info@wildlandswildhorses.com.

Some battles are worth fighting.

It’s been a good week as Tom and I continue our stay in SoCal. The rain has been minimal here. We’ve been able to walk 2-3 miles a day. That’s good for two old people.

Most days, we’ve gone out on some adventure.

We found a wonderful fresh catch market at the harbor. Admittedly, we don’t see that in North Dakota. Even so, we look forward to going back to North Dakota in a few weeks. It’s lovely here and we’re enjoying every minute, but our little house on the prairie is where we belong.

Life is good today.
