Top of the mornin’ to ya

Ireland has been lush, green and amazing. We’ve been on a three-day bus tour and experienced many great times. We’ll fly back to Edinburgh tomorrow and head home a day or two later. I’m sad to see this mother/daughter adventure end, but I would like to be back in the North Dakota nest. I’ve missed Tom and my Rocky dog.

Our tour guide Cash has done his best to entertain us and make sure we see so many things. When we were weary, he revived us by getting us all singing Bohemian Rhapsody or YMCA. Fun bus.

We visited an Irish pub, The Randy Leprechaun. I admit, I had a glass of wine. ‘ No pint or whiskey for me.

The Irish people are firm believers in luck (good and bad), leprechauns, fairies and almost any magical or mystical notion. They would never disturb a fairy fort or a fairy tree. The luck of the Irish is a big deal. They aren’t going to do anything to risk it.

Fun fact: a leprechaun is a cobbler for the fairies.

We visited the Cliffs of Moher. They are one of the film sites for Princess Bride, a favorite movie of me and Tom.

The tour bus has gone in some pretty narrow cliff-side roads. I can be scary when you meet another bus.

We stopped at a beautiful waterfall in Killarney National Park. Later we took a carriage ride through the park.

It’s been exceptional. Life is more than good today.

Cheers. ■
