Chamber Sets Candidates Night – The Colusa County Chamber of Commerce will host Candidates Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 8 at Colusa Veterans Hall, 108 E. Main St. Candidates for the Colusa City Council and Colusa Unified School District Board of Trustees will each receive five minutes to introduce themselves and discuss their candidacy. Candidates will then move to individual tables where attendees may ask questions and discuss local issues directly with them. County Plans Mobile Ballot Pickup – The Colusa County Elections Department will offer mobile ballot pickup at five locations ahead of the November general election, according to a department flyer. Stops are scheduled Oct. 25 in Arbuckle, Oct. 27 in Princeton, Oct. 29 in Grimes, Oct. 31 in Maxwell and Nov. 1 in Stonyford. Registered California voters may submit sealed and signed vote-by-mail ballots at the mobile locations.
Christmas Tyme Colusa Seeks Volunteers – Organizers of the Christmas Tyme Colusa Festival & Market are seeking volunteers to help plan and coordinate the Dec. 5 event. USPS Operation Santa Accepting Letters – The U.S. Postal Service is accepting letters for its annual Operation Santa program. Children may send holiday wish lists to Santa Claus, 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888. Letters should include the sender’s full name and return address and be mailed with proper postage.
