Quilt Guild welcomes North State quilter

The Pacific Flyway Quilters will host quilter Marjorie McGraw, of Cottonwood, at their May 16, meeting. McGraw is known throughout the north state for her humor and extensive talent in all areas of quilting. Beginning her career as a high school teacher, McGraw discovered quilting in the 90s when she made her first quilt out of polyester fabric and old jeans.

“It was so heavy, I couldn’t sleep under it,” she said.

After a few classes, she was hooked on quilting and cotton fabrics. McGraw will be showing many of her quilts and telling her wonderful, funny stories about her quilting adventure. All who are interested are invited to join the guild members to welcome McGraw and her quilts on Monday, May 16, at 6:30 PM, in the Colusa Masonic Hall, 311 5th St., in Colusa.■
