Two RedHawks finish strong at Lagoon Valley Classic

Cross country season got underway for the Colusa RedHawks last Saturday.

In Vacaville, the team competed at the Lagoon Valley Classic against some of the top runners in Northern California – and got impressive performances from two of their own.

Running in the small school 3-mile varsity boys’ race, which featured 99 harriers, junior Kevin Sarabia finished 32nd in a time of 20:13.

Freshman Cesar Cruz, competing in the 2-mile frosh/soph division, finished 38th amongst 212 others crossing the line in 13:25.

This week, the RedHawks hosted a Mid-Valley League preview race at the Sacramento River Recreation Area in Colusa on Sept. 8.
