Charles “Alan” Morris

On the evening of February 13, 2023, Charles “Alan” Morris of Weippe, Idaho died at the age of 86.

Alan was born in Woodland, California to Sheldon and Edith Morris on April 25th, 1936.
Alan is preceded in death by his father, Sheldon, and his mother, Edith. He is survived by his wife, Ginger, and his 5 children, Craig of Maple Valley, Washington, Cynthia Quinlin (Brian) of Port Orchard, Washington, Cheryl of Everett, Washington, Sheldon of Buckeye, Arizona, and Shawn (Amber) of Weippe, Idaho. He is also survived by his 3 siblings, Betty Lou Grimmer (Fritz) of Arbuckle, California, Ronald (Susie) of Morgan Hill, California, and Mark (Adrienne) of Grimes, California as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Alan graduated from Pierce High School in Arbuckle where he participated in athletics. After high school he attended Stanford University with Honors at Entrance and UC Davis. He worked on the family farm until he moved to Idaho where he worked in the timber industry.

In his later years, he would make trips back to California to work with his brother Mark in their walnut orchard. Alan enjoyed working puzzles in his spare time. He was intrigued to learn new things. Like his father, Alan was also known for writing poetry.

A viewing will take place from 5-7 PM on February 23, 2023, at McNary Moore in Colusa.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on February 24, 2023, at Grimes Community Church. ■
