NOTICE OF GENERAL DISTRICT ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with the provisions of the Uniform District Election Law and the Elections Code of the State of California that Governing Board Elections will be held on Tuesday August 29, 2023 in the Districts and Area named below and that Candidates to be voted upon at said Election may be nominated for the following offices for four-year terms, except as otherwise noted:

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN as follows:
1. Declarations of Candidacy for eligible candidates desiring to file for any of the elective offices may be obtained from the Colusa Basin Drainage District, 1030 W. Wood Street, Suite 3, Willows, CA 95988, on or after Monday May 8, 2023; the District phone number is 530-934-7794.
2. Declarations of Candidacy must be filed with the Colusa Basin Drainage District no later than 5:00 P.M. on Friday June 2, 2023. However, if an Incumbent does not file a Declaration of Candidacy by Friday June 2, 2023, any person other than the Incumbent shall have until 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday June 7, 2023 to file a Declaration of Candidacy.
3. If by 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday June 7, 2023 there are no nominees or the number of nominees does not exceed the number of offices to be filled, and if a petition requesting an election, signed by ten (10) percent of the voters or fifty (50) voters, whichever is the smaller number, in the district or division, if elected by division, is not filed, appointment to elective office will be made as prescribed in Section 10515 of the Election Code.
