FULL TIME
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
OPERATOR II/III
(WWTP Operator II $55,155.36 – $67,041.69 Annually)
(WWTP Operator III $58,059.07 – $70,571.16 Annually)

Typical Duties for this position include operation of the wastewater treatment facility to ensure compliance with State regulations. Interpret alarms, meters, gauges, SCADA system and test results to determine process and control criteria. Perform routine maintenance and repair work on pumps, valves, ultraviolet disinfection equipment and filtration equipment. Monitor and adjust chemical feed rates, pumping rates, basic laboratory testing for process control and solids handling. Participate in ongoing preventative maintenance program and accurately maintain and compile records and reports. Work weekends and holidays as assigned and be available for on-call duties as scheduled. Repair and maintenance of City collection system and sewer lift stations. Maintain proper records for State reporting. Follow all safety precautions and regulations. Serve in a stand-by status after regular working hours and respond to emergency call-outs. Perform related duties as assigned. Required upon hire, possession of a valid California Driver’s license and a valid Grade II or Grade III Wastewater license.
