COUNTY OF COLUSA
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR SUBMITTAL OF STATE CDBG APPLICATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of Colusa will conduct a Public Hearing on February 15, 2022 at 9:30 a.m., in the County Board of Supervisors’ Chambers at 546 Jay Street, Suite 108, Colusa, CA, 95932 in order to consider a Program Income Only Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project and to solicit public input on this project.  

The County of Colusa is applying for approval to expend up to $750,000 in existing Program Income for the acquisition of real property in order to establish a temporary shelter and transitional housing for victims of domestic violence.  This housing would be used to house victims of domestic violence when fleeing abusive relationships until they can be placed in safe, permanent housing.  This project will exclusively benefit victims of domestic violence including battered spouses and their children.

As of October, 2021, the County of Colusa has approximately $1,163,000 in CDBG Program Income funds that must be expended prior to applying for additional CDBG grant funding.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to give members of the public and all interested parties an opportunity to make their comments known on the proposed application and project.
