NOTICE OF POTENTIAL ORDINANCE PASSAGE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT at a regular meeting of the Colusa County Board of Supervisors on September 28, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. in the Board Chambers located at 546 Jay Street, Suite 108, Colusa, CA, the Board will consider passage of a proposed Ordinance as follows:

ORDINANCE SUMMARY

The proposed ordinance will add section 2-35.1 to Chapter 2, Article V of the Colusa County Ordinance code for the purpose of authorizing the County of Colusa to join the existing Partnership HealthPlan of California Commission, a multi-county commission that has created a managed health care plan for Medi-Cal recipients. This will allow the implementation of a county organized health system in Colusa County as authorized by Welfare and Institutions Code § 14087.54. The Commission will negotiate an exclusive contract with the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) authorizing the expansion of the Partnership HealthPlan of California into Colusa County. This ordinance authorizes the County to join the Commission, sets forth the qualifications and term of office for the Commission members, and authorizes the County to establish a local managed care committee.
