COUNTY OF COLUSA
ORDINANCE 822

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT at a regular meeting of the Colusa County Board of Supervisors on February 15, 2022, in the Board Chambers located at 546 Jay Street, Suite 108, Colusa, CA, the Board approved passage of Ordinance 822 as follows:

ORDINANCE SUMMARY

The County of Colusa adopted Ordinance 822 to repeal and replace Chapter 33; Flood Damage Prevention, of the Colusa County Ordinance Code. The County of Colusa participates in the National Flood Insurance Program administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  Approximately 25% of Colusa falls within the 100-year flood area.  In order to meet State and Federal requirements, Colusa County must adopt minimum building standards for use in Special Flood Hazard Areas.  This ordinance would revise the County Code to use the most recent Federal template and incorporate the current building code and standards for construction in Special Flood Hazard Areas of Colusa County.

This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after its passage. It shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against the ordinance in a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of Colusa, State of California, within fifteen (15) days after its passage.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors held on 1st day of February 2022 and passed and adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Colusa, State of California, on the 15th day of February 2022, by the following roll call vote:

AYES:     Supervisors Daurice K. Smith, 

Kent S. Boes, Denise J. Carter,  

Gary J. Evans and Merced Corona

NOES:     None.

ABSENT:  None.
