ORDINANCE NO. 815

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT at a regular meeting of the Colusa County Board of Supervisors on September 28, 2021, in the Board Chambers located at 546 Jay Street, Suite 108, Colusa, CA, the Board approved passage of Ordinance 815 as follows:

ORDINANCE SUMMARY

This ordinance will add section 2-35.1 to Chapter 2, Article V of the Colusa County Ordinance code for the purpose of authorizing the County of Colusa to join the existing Partnership HealthPlan of California Commission, a multi-county commission that has created a managed health care plan for Medi-Cal recipients. This will allow the implementation of a county organized health system in Colusa County as authorized by Welfare and Institutions Code § 14087.54. The Commission will negotiate an exclusive contract with the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) authorizing the expansion of the Partnership HealthPlan of California into Colusa County. This ordinance authorizes the County to join the Commission, sets forth the qualifications and term of office for the Commission members, and authorizes the County to establish a local managed care committee.

This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after its passage. It shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against the ordinance in a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of Colusa, State of California, within fifteen (15) days after its passage.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors held on the 14th of September, 2021 and passed and adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Colusa, State of California, on the 28th day of September, 2021 by the following roll call vote: 

AYES: Supervisors Daurice K. Smith, Kent S. Boes, Denise J. Carter, J. Merced Corona and Gary J. Evans.

NOES: None.
