Wesley Gene Robinson • 8/19/1963 — 2/1/2024

Wesley Gene Robinson passed away on February 1, 2024, in Arbuckle, CA after ending a courageous battle with ALS-Lou Gehrig’s Disease.  He was 60 years old.

Wesley was born to Annabelle and James Robinson on August 19, 1963, in Colusa, CA.  He attended Arbuckle schools and graduated from Pierce High School in 1982 as an all-star athlete. Growing up most of his life on Dodd Ranch with his brothers and sisters.

After High School, he worked at the Aladero Truck Stop in 1982 as a Cook/Manager, leaving in 1998 to work for Tom Hayes Farms, and began as a Firefighter and Emergency Technician in 2005 with the Arbuckle-College City Fire Protection District.

He met his life partner Rebecca Colleen Robinson in 1983.  They married February 14, 1991 in Reno, NV.  Wesley’s greatest love was his family, making a beautiful life with Colleen and their children in Arbuckle.

Wesley loved sports, he was a die hard Minnesota Vikings, Sacramento Kings, and WWE fan.  He loved hunting, boating, playing sports, camping, RVing, and socializing with his family and friends.

His passion was firefighting and the Arbuckle community.  He proudly served as a volunteer firefighter beginning in 1991, in a short time promoting to Captain and ending his 32 year fire career as Assistant Fire Chief.

Wesley is survived by his wife and life partner of 38 years and their two children, Karen and her husband Bryan and their fur baby Cricket, Lonny and his wife Maribeth and their children, his grandchildren, Grayson and Vivian.  He is survived by sisters Verna Smith, Betty Taylor, Diana (Clyde) Cooper, Susan Coon and brothers Tommy (Carolyn) Robinson and Leslie (Denise) Robinson; with numerous nieces and nephews.

Wesley is preceded in death by his parents Annabelle and James Robinson, brothers Arula “Robert” Taylor, Kenneth Elvert, Keith Elvert, Johnny Taylor and sisters Geraldine Robinson, Eula Joseph, Irma “Faye” Ridenour, and Marion Parham.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 17 at 10am at Church On The Rock, located at 630 Cottonwood Street, Woodland, CA.  Following the Celebration of Life there will be a gathering for food and socializing at the Arbuckle Fire Department, located at 506 Lucas Street, Arbuckle, CA.  A private interment will follow at a later date with his wife, children, their spouses, and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Arbuckle Volunteer Fire Department.
