James “Bud” E. Williams, passed away on June 4, 2024, peacefully at home with his family by his side. Bud was a loving and caring Husband, Father, Grandpa, and a dear friend to many. He had a heart full of love and happiness, and an amazing smile.
Bud was born November 14, 1941, in Cresent City, California to Jurl and Iola Williams. He graduated from high school in Cresent City and then moved to Colusa in 1960. He then attended and graduated from Yuba College while working at Shop N Save in Colusa as a butcher.
The summer of 1962 he married his true love, Karla Lucchesi, in Colusa. This is where they settled and raised their two daughters, Debra, and Kimi.
After Bud finished College, he began working for the Colusa County Road Department where he worked for 35 years, ending as the Colusa County Road Department Superintendent. After retiring from the Road Department, he then focused on spending quality time with his family, especially Mikenzie and Sammy.
Bud’s next adventure was working part-time for Colusa County Mosquito Abatement for 15 years. He really enjoyed his work crew and many friends while doing his mosquito routes.
Bud loved fishing and hunting. He was a great bowler. He was the Chief Umpire for the Colusa Area Little League for many years. Later, Bud began golfing and was a member of the Colusa Golf course, this was something he really enjoyed.
