Who’s flocked, and goosed? (05/20/2021)

Greetings from the Lopez Family, who sent a flock of geese and ducks to the home of Dan and April Kraft, of Colusa, for a very good cause. The Youve Been Flocked fundraiser is for the inaugural Founders Day Festival on June 19, celebrating the incorporation of the City of Colusa in 1868. The festival will include a vendor fair, a tractor show, a walking tour of Colusas historic downtown, historic photograph exhibit, sidewalk sales, childrens activities, and cornhole. To send a flock of geese, ducks, or both to a home, business, or office, call 458-4141 to make a donation to the Community Foundation of Colusa County. Founders Day is a joint effort of the Pioneer Review, Farmers Daughter, Karens House, Colusa County Arts Council, Colusa County Chamber of Commerce, DFT Cornhole, Colusa Heritage Preservation Commission, and City of Colusa to provide a fun, free summer event for the entire community.

A flock of geese and ducks were sent to Caleb De La Torre, 10 (front) and Abel Ramirez, 13, for a very good cause by the Burrious Family. The two brothers posed with the flock before sending the waterfowl on their way to a new location. Youve been Flocked is a fundraiser for the inaugural Founders Day Festival on June 19. The event will feature a Nerf Shoot at the Colusa Fire Department, Childrens activities in Memorial Park, a Tractor Show and Tractor Parade on Main Street and Levee Park, and much more. The event starts at 9 AM.

Staff at the Colusa branch of the Colusa County Free Library Cindy Plucker, Director Stacey Costello, Erica Kiever, Dee Taylor, Lucinda Whittaker, and Gaby Silva were sent a flock of ducks and geese last week, compliments of Ralph and Nancy Newlin of Newlin Enterprises, who made a donation to the Colusa Foundation of Colusa County. The fundraiser is for Colusa Founders Day on June 19, 2021, which will feature sidewalk sales, a walking tour of historic downtown buildings, antique tractor show and much more! The event is free and open to the public. To send a flock of ducks or geese, call the Pioneer Review at 458-4141.

Cynthia and Jim White were sent a flock of geese on Friday, compliments of Colusa City Councilwoman Denise Conrado, who made a donation to the Community Foundation of Colusa County for the inaugural Founders Day event to be held in Downtown Colusa on June 19. The event will feature a guided and self-guided tour of Colusas historic downtown, sponsored by the Colusa Heritage Preservation Commission, of which Jim White is a longtime member. Founders day will also have a vendor fair, childrens activities, tractor show, cornhole and much more! To send a flock of geese, ducks or both, call 458-4141 to pledge your support.
