We are happy to be home. Admittedly, it’s still a little nippy in North Dakota. There is still snow in our yard, but we nonetheless are happy to be here. It’s not anywhere near as cold as it was when we left in January.
Our final drive through Arizona was a beautiful journey. The red rock formations were spectacular. Along the way, we met Navajo artists and were lucky enough to purchase some beautiful pieces of their work.
But now home, life continues. It’s good to be back with family and visit with friends. It’s good to know people when you are out and about. It feels good to have people stop by your table to greet you when you go out for coffee. Small town life is the best.
Honestly, we needed to get out of the city. Our weight loss journey kind of took a hit.
oorDash is a wonderful thing. They’ll bring your cravings right to your door. The restaurants in Oceanside were pretty tempting as well. But now we’re home, I’m back in my kitchen and will prepare healthier deliciousness. But first, we should go to a fundraising spaghetti feed today.
It’s good to be home. It’s good to be back in the nest.
Life is good today. ■
