Turmoil, stress, fear. These are all emotions we feel. It’s hard to deal with the anxiety of it all; especially in our world today.
I’m often at a loss for words. How do we hold on? Move forward?
This past week two people dear to me dealt with some pretty scary health issues.
I can learn from each of these women. They are holding on and they are on on the mend.
Husband Tom will celebrate 75 years this week. He handles it well. His motto, as is mine is to keep moving.
He worked for several days this week doing the outdoor Halloween decorations. It was a beautiful fall day as he worked. Later in the evening the North Dakota wind and sideways rain took a toll in n his work. Bless their blackened hearts; three witch sisters were soaked and laying face down in the yard.
Tom has learned the trials of North Dakota weather. Not to be beaten, he dried out the girls and got them once again upright out front to welcome guests. It’s all good. Duct tape is the magical fix-all in North Dakota.
The kids enjoy seeing what he comes up with each year. That’s what matters. He likes to make the grandkids and neighborhood kids happy. He thinks it worth the effort.
We are blessed to be able to do these things.
Other families are having far greater struggles.
Along with families in war, there are U.S. families struggling.
For these families we continue to pray.
If you are hurting, if you are dealing with loss, hold on. Know what you are not alone. Know that we are all praying for you and yours.
Life is good today.
