Robert (Bob) Scheiber passed away on July 2, 2026, in Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento after several months of failing health.
Bob was born in Turlock, California on October 29, 1942, to Archie and May Scheiber. At the age of 4 the
family relocated to Arbuckle-College City, where they lived on a dairy farm. Bob attended Pierce Elementary
School in College City and graduated from Pierce High School in 1962.
After graduating high school, Bob maintained a Lawn Mowing Service in the area. He continued the service until 2016 when he retired and moved to Woodland as a resident of the Californian Assisted Living Facility.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and riding his bicycle around the area. He looked forward each year to the family’s annual camping trip to Fort Bragg.
At the Californian, Bob enjoyed all activities and adventures provided by the facility. One of his favorite pass times was working Word Search Puzzles. He considered the employees and residents as his family.
Bob is survived by his sisters Peggy Arens (Ron), Judy Kalfsbeek (Dave), his niece Janet Lompa (Tye), nephews Mike Kalfsbeek (Erin) and Kurt Arens and eight Grandnieces and Grandnephews.
A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, at the Arbuckle Catholic Cemetery at 11 a.m., with a Celebration of Bob’s life at the Arbuckle Golf Club, 5918 Hillgate Rd., Arbuckle.
