COLUSA, CA (MPG) – The County of Colusa will hold two free Community Clean-Up Days later this summer, giving residents an opportunity to dispose of household waste and electronic waste while meeting with county representatives.
The county has partnered with Recology to host the events on Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Princeton Library, 232 Prince St., and Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Grimes Branch Library, 240 Main St. Both events will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Debris boxes will be available for residents to dispose of household waste, electronic waste and other approved debris at no cost.
County supervisors also will be available during each event to answer questions from residents, hear concerns and provide updates on county programs and initiatives. Supervisor Janice Bell will attend the Princeton event, while Supervisor Daurice Kalfsbeek-Smith will represent the county at the Grimes event.
Items not accepted at this event include hazardous materials such as batteries, paint, oil, chemicals, pesticides, smoke detectors and fluorescent lights. Asbestos, compressed gas, treated wood waste, and construction materials including concrete, dirt, rocks, brick and asphalt also will not be accepted.
