Vivian Ferraro Pearson, a lifelong resident of Colusa County, passed away on July 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Pearson; her son, James Pearson; her sister, Brenda Bruggman; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Vivian was born on March 14, 1951, in Colusa, California, to Ben and Alveria (Deseriee) Ferraro. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving in the Colusa County court system, where she earned the affectionate nickname “Vicious Vivian” for her no-nonsense attitude and unwavering dedication to her role. She retired in 2008.
In retirement, Vivian found joy in tending her garden, spending time with family, and enjoying the peace she so richly deserved. She will be remembered as a hardworking, loving, and compassionate woman who touched the lives of many.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Adventist Health Rideout Cancer Center for their exceptional care and kindness throughout Vivian’s treatment.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at 10 A.M., at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colusa. A reception will follow at Friendship Hall at Trinity Methodist Church.
