Friday, Dec. 5

Christmas Tyme Colusa

The Colusa Lions Club, the Rotary Club of Colusa, the City of Colusa, and Colusa County Chamber of Commerce presents the annual Christmas Tyme in Colusa from 6 pm to 9 pm in Downtown (Main Street) Colusa. Music, crafts, food, children’s play area, and Santa Claus.

Sunday, Dec. 7

Arbuckle Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting

Arbuckle’s Hometown Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting will be on Sunday, Dec. 7, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at LaVanche Hursch Community Park. Festivities include Santa and Mrs. Claus, tree lighting, food and craft vendors and carriage rides. Sponsored by the Arbuckle Revitalization Committee.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 10

Caregivers Support Group Meeting

The Caregivers Support Group for those caring for individuals with Dementia/Alzheimer/Parkinson’s Disease will meet from 10 am to 11:30 am on the Second Wednesday of every month at the First Presbyterian Church, 326 Jay St., Colusa. The meetings are confidential and are open to all who are interested.

 

Colusa VFW Monthly Meeting

The Colusa VFW Post #2441 meets the second Wednesday of each month. The next meeting will be on Aug. 13.  Dinner is served at 6 p.m., and a business meeting is held at 7 p.m. New members are welcome to join, just inquire or send an email to ColusaVFW@gmail.com. For hall rental please call 530-405-6322. Colusa VFW Post #2441 is a non-profit veterans organization serving the veterans and citizens of Colusa County.

 

Thursday, December 11

Community Christmas Choir

The Community Christmas Choir will perform on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Arbuckle United Methodist Church, 600 Pendleton St., Arbuckle (Corner of 9th and Pendleton). The concert is free and will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited to enjoy a mix of old and new Christmas anthems and sing-along carols, followed by light refreshments. Donations will be gratefully accepted after each concert to assist the needy in Colusa County and support Sound Space after-school music.

 

Friday, Dec. 12

Senior (Citizen) Spread

Trinity United Methodist Church of Colusa will host a senior citizen lunch program on the second and fourth Friday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Friendship Hall, 511 Oak Street, Colusa. Lunch will be served at noon, and the cost is $5 a person or $3 a person if one provides a side dish. The main dish will be provided, but attendees may provide side dishes and desserts. The concert is free and will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited to enjoy a mix of old and new Christmas anthems and sing-along carols, followed by light refreshments. Donations will be gratefully accepted after each concert to assist the needy in Colusa County and support Sound Space after-school music.

 

Saturday, December 13

Festival of Lights Parade

The Williams Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual Festival of Lights from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13. Vendor Fair, Lighting of Town Tree, Parade, and Santa at the Fire Hall. Parade entry is $25.

Colusa County Republicans Meeting

The Colusa County Republicans will be meeting on the third Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Colusa Assembly of God Church, 1747 CA-20, Colusa.

 

Friday, Dec. 19

Maxwell Country Christmas

Maxwell Country Christmas is just around the corner and Santa’s elves, Maxwell Park and Recreation District, are hard at work making it the most magical event ever. Vendor Fair 5-8 p.m.; Lighted Tractor Parade at 6 pm. Events include tree lighting, food and hot chocolate and all the holiday fun! Thursday, Dec. 25

Free Yuletide Dinner

The public is invited to enjoy the free Yuletide Dinner on Christmas Day, Dec. 25 at Trinity United Methodist Church. The dinner will be served from noon to 1 p.m., inside the Friendship Hall, 5th and Oak Street, Colusa, for take-out or dine in. Chamber Business After Hours
