The Sacramento Valley Museum will host a special screening of “Tick…Tick… Tick…” which is the 1970 film shot in Downtown Colusa, on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the museum, 1491 E Street, Williams. Live Lit
The Colusa County Arts Council will host the latest edition of LIVE LIT, a literary reading series spotlighting the voices of local writers at Salmon Bend Art Studios, 3606 Brown Road, Colusa, on Oct. 18 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The program will feature a mix of poetry, prose and other spoken musings that are sure to surprise and delight.

Sound Space Fall Performance
Sound Space is an after-school music program sponsored by Trinity United Methodist Church in partnership with local musicians and Colusa Unified School District, designed to extend low-cost, high quality music education in a safe after-school setting. The Fall 2025 program will culminate with a free performance on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 511 Oak Street, Colusa. Fall Harvest Festival
Join the WES and WUES PTO at the Fall Harvest Festival on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Williams Elementary School, 1401 E St., Williams. There will be games, food, prizes, pumpkin ring toss, rubber duck pool, face art and more! Tickets sold at the event, cash only.
Colusa County Rabies and License Clinic
Colusa County Animal Control will hold a drive-through Rabies and License Clinic for Colusa County residents on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Colusa County Fairgrounds parking lot, 1303 10th Street, Colusa. Dogs only, no cats. $18 for rabies vaccinations. Cash or check only.

Senior (Citizen) Spread
Trinity United Methodist Church of Colusa will host a senior citizen lunch program on the second and fourth Friday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Friendship Hall, 511 Oak Street, Colusa. Lunch will be served at noon, and the cost is $5 a person or $3 a person if one provides a side dish. The main dish will be provided, but attendees may provide side dishes and desserts. Puptoberfest
Come celebrate with your furry friends and support FOCCAS in their efforts to improve the lives of the animals at the Colusa County Animal Shelter at the 7th annual Puptoberfest! Puptoberfest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Veterans Memorial Park in Colusa. There will be a dog costume contest, raffle, BBQ lunch, local vendors, lawn games, library book giveaway, and crafts for kids! Adults, kids, and friendly dogs welcome!
Trunk or Treat
The Colusa County Chamber of Commerce & the Colusa County Fairgrounds invite you to Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 25, from Noon to 2 p.m., at the Colusa Fairgrounds Parking Lot. Bring your costume and come hang out with friends! All members of the community are welcome!

State of Jefferson Townhall
Residents are invited to attend a State of Jefferson town hall on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m. at the Colusa VFW Hall, 901 Parkhill Street, Colusa. The meeting will focus on concerns about state representation and discuss the proposed State of Jefferson movement. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and learn more about the effort to split California into separate states.

Sacramento Valley Museum, 1491 E Street, Williams, will host a spine-chilling Haunted House on Oct. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. Guests are invited to enter if they dare through the museum’s basement for a frightful experience filled with eerie surprises.
