GRIMES, CA (MPG) – Grimes residents will have an opportunity to dispose of household items at no cost Saturday, Sept. 19, as Colusa County and Recology host a Community Clean-Up Dumpster Day at the Grimes Branch Library.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library parking lot at 240 Main St.
Dumpsters will be available for household waste, electronic waste and green waste at no charge.
Colusa County Supervisor Daurice Kalfsbeek-Smith will be at the event to answer questions about county programs, services and other local issues.
The Colusa County Literacy Program will also provide a selection of free children’s books for Kalfsbeek-Smith to distribute while supplies last.
Hazardous chemicals, asbestos-containing materials, gas cylinders or tanks, concrete, dirt, bricks and treated construction debris will not be accepted.
The Colusa County Free Library is providing the location for the cleanup event.
