COLUSA COUNTY, CA (MPG) – Postseason soccer accolades for Northern Section boys’ teams were released following the end of the season with Sacramento Valley League champion Pierce garnering five spots, Williams and Colusa receiving four and three respectively, while in the Mid-Valley League, Maxwell also had three receive recognition.
Leading the Bears’ contingent was senior Adrian Duarte, who was named the co-Defensive Most Valuable Player, while fellow seniors Juan Mondragon and Francisco Ruiz in addition to junior Orlando Bedolla and sophomore Uriel Ruiz also earned All-SVL honors.
Third place Williams saw freshman Jonathan Garcia share the co-Defensive MVP, then had senior Daniel Preciado, along with juniors Brian Jimenez and Gio Velazquez earn spots on the All-SVL squad.
Colusa, which finished fourth in the SVL standings, had seniors Eric Gonzalez and Yandel Ornelas as well as junior Ricardo Hernandez receive All-SVL recognition.
Meanwhile, Maxwell, the MVL’s third place team was represented on the All-League squad by seniors Celestino Corona and Yahir Alcaraz along with junior Omar Rosales.
