Celeste Schwartz is now in the company of the Lord, who called her home on Feb. 5, 2026. Born in Chanute, Kansas to Floye Belle and Conrade H. Cation, her family came to California when she was a small child, She attended Colusa schools, graduating high school in 1949.
Celeste’s passions were home, family, friends and in recent years, cats. It was not uncommon to see Celeste driving about town, or inside local stores running errands and chatting with friends and acquaintances.
Celeste is survived by her daughter, Carol Cox, grandchildren Anna Cox and Daniel Cox (Aimee); her brother Raegene Cation, niece Candace Charter, nephew Robert Cation, and many other nieces and nephews.
Cryptside services will be held Tuesday Feb. 3 at 1 p.m.at Eastlawn Cemetery Sacramento. Visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday Feb. 2 at McNary-Moore Chapel.
