Salmon Bend Winter Show
Salmon Bend Art Studios will host the 4th annual Winter Show in November, featuring artwork by Gabe Babcock, Roberta Monte James, and LK James. The artists will host a reception from 5:30 pm to 7 pm on Friday Nov. 3, and two weekends of gallery hours from noon to 4 pm, Nov. 4-5 and Nov. 11-12. The show is free to attend, and all ages

Saturday, Nov. 4

Art Workshop at Colusa Library
The Colusa County Arts Council will host a free collage workshop with artist Mark Vargo from 10 am to 11:45 am at Colusa County Free Library in Colusa. Participants can make their own collage-based art and learn how to communicate important social topics through art-making practices.

Countywide 4-H  Craft Expo                                                                                       The Countywide  “Make it and Take it” 4-H Craft Expo will be held from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, Nov. 4, in the Main Exhibits Building at the Colusa County Fairgrounds, 1303 10 th St., Colusa. There will be a variety of craft booths with supplies to make ornaments and other crafts. The Craft Expo is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

Church Bake Sale Fundraiser
Colusa Assembly of God will have a bake sale from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, Nov. 4, inside Festival Hall at the Colusa County Fairgrounds, 1303 10 th St., Colusa. The event is a fundraiser to raise money to send local youth to the Youth Convention. Please come out and show your support.

Grimes Ladies Aid Dinner and Bazaar 
The Grimes Ladies Aid Society will hold its annual dinner and bazaar beginning at 5 pm on Saturday, Nov. 4, at Grand Island Elementary School, 551 W Leven St., Grimes. The Society will be serving its delicious turkey and ham dinner with all the trimmings. Donations are $16 for adults; $7 for children ages 5-10. Children under age 5 are
free. Bazaar booths will also open at 5 pm. Later that evening, some lucky person will be awarded a beautiful handmade quilt. The public is invited to a night of great food, fun, and fellowship.

 

Sunday, Nov. 5 

Sacred Heart Fall Bazaar
Sacred Heart Church will be serving turkey dinner with all the trimmings and a dessert silent auction, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the American Legion Hall, 250 Oak St., Maxwell. Adults $15; children $ 5 (4-10); Free for children under 4. Dinner tickets will be sold at the door or in advance by calling the parish office at 473-2432. Bring your
family and friends to enjoy dinner, paddle wheel games, and a silent auction.

 

Saturday, Nov. 11

Veterans Day Ceremony                                                                                              The Colusa Veterans of Foreign Wars and Maxwell American Legion will host the annual Veterans Day ceremony in remembers of at 1 pm on Nov. 11 at Veterans Memorial Park, 10 th and Market St., Colusa. The ceremony will include the annual reading of names on the Memorial Wall. The public is encouraged to attend the ceremony to honor all veterans, living or dead; active or retired.

OLL Pheasant Festival
Our Lady of Lourdes will hold its annual Pheasant Festival from 5 pm to 10 pm on Saturday, Nov. 11, at St. Bernadette’s Hall, 745 Ware Ave., Colusa. Tri-Tip dinner served from 5 pm to 8 pm, kid’s zone, country store, door prizes, live Auction. Tickets are $25; Children 10 and under $12. For more information or tickets, call (530) 458-8208.

 

Saturday, Nov. 18

Colusa Holiday Craft Faire
The annual Holiday Craft Faire will be held from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Colusa County Fairgrounds. Santa will be in the Festival Hall for free photos with the public. Food vendors will be in the courtyard.There is no admission to attend, and parking is free. The Colusa County Fairgrounds are located at 1303 10th St., Colusa.

Hot Cajun Night
Family Water Alliance will host its annual fundraiser dinner, featuring their famous seafood Cajun rice, silent and live auction, dinner with no host bar, and plenty of great company at 5:30 pm on Saturday, Nov. 18, at St. Bernadette’s Hall, 745 Ware Ave., Colusa. Chocolate Festival
The 25th annual Chocolate Festival will be held from noon to 3 pm on Sunday, Dec. 3, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 642 5th St., Colusa. The event includes five samples of chocolate, silent action, and an opportunity to hear music on the only working pipe organ in Colusa County. Limited tickets for $20 donation are available by calling 458-2470. Fresh Christmas Wreaths will be for sale.
