COUNTY OF COLUSA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT at a regular meeting of the Colusa County Board of Supervisors on February 15, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in the Board Chambers located at 546 Jay Street, Suite 108, Colusa, CA, the Board will consider a proposed Ordinance as follows:

ORDINANCE SUMMARY

The County of Colusa is proposing to adopt an ordinance to repeal and replace Chapter 33; Flood Damage Prevention, of the Colusa County Ordinance Code. The County of Colusa participates in the National Flood Insurance Program administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  Approximately 25% of Colusa falls within the 100-year flood area.  In order to meet State and Federal requirements, Colusa County must adopt minimum building standards for use in Special Flood Hazard Areas.  This ordinance would revise the County Code to use the most recent Federal template and incorporate the current building code and standards for construction in Special Flood Hazard Areas of Colusa County.

All documentation including the complete text of the Ordinance is available for review in the Office of the Clerk of the Board.  If you have questions or concerns regarding this matter, or would like to submit comments you may do so to the following:  Clerk to the Board of Supervisors, 547 Market Street, Ste. 102, Colusa, CA (530)458-0508, or by e-mail at boardclerk@countyofcolusa.com.  All persons are invited to attend and be heard.
