MAXWELL, CA (MPG) – After suffering two losses at Durham’s Elmeretta Brown Tournament last month, the Panthers have come alive, winning 11 out of their last 12 matches and are now on a five-game roll having defeated Paradise Adventist Academy and Los Molinos on Sept. 1 and 2 respectively.
Maxwell proved an ungracious host against PAA, downing the Cougars 3-1.
Although set scores were not available, PAA could not withstand the Panther attack which was powered by Reese Vierra’s 16 kills along with 15 from Erin Dennis.
Gia Rudiger orchestrated the offense distributing 32 assists, then additionally served 11 of her team’s 30 aces.
In the back row, Jane Silva made 19 digs and 29 service receptions.
Hitting the road the following evening to face Los Molinos, the Panthers took care of business emerging with the 25-20, 25-15, 25-27, 25-7 victory.

Maxwell (14-3) opened play in the Hamilton Tournament on Sept. 4.
