COLUSA COUNTY, CA (MPG) – Albeit a tough basketball season for both the Maxwell and Williams boys and girls teams, four players received All-League recognition for their efforts,
For Maxwell, which finished fifth in both the boys and girls standings, junior Vincent Orozco and sophomore Miyah Reyes eared All-MVL honors.
Orozco averaged 9.5 points against conference opponents, while Reyes finished league play with a stat line that included 10.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
Meanwhile for Williams, both the boys and girls ended league play in sixth place and saw seniors Diego Ambriz and Lupita Zuniga named to the All-MVL squad.
Ambriz was the ‘Jackets leading scorer averaging 12.4 points per game in league, while Zuniga closed out conference play with 12.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
