Pierce improved its record to 22-2 this season and 12-0 in the Sacramento Valley League after outscoring its opponents 150-83 last week.
Although no statistics from the game with Winters were available, the win over Durham featured a 56 point outpouring from Jocelyn Medina.
Medina, who is averaging 30.5 points per game this season and is the second leading scorer of all-time in the Northern Section, recorded a triple-double when in addition to her 56 points, she collected 10 rebounds and made 12 steals.
Cindy Corona turned in another consistent performance with six points and seven rebounds.
The Bears hosted Colusa on Tuesday night and finishes the regular season in Live Oak on Friday.
Colusa 33 – East Nicolaus 48 (1/31)
Colusa 48 – Willows 28 (2/3)
Danica Chavez scored 20 and 21 points, respectively, to lead the RedHawks in two Sacramento Valley League games last week.
Alena Sanchez chipped in with eight points as a short-handed Colusa squad fell to East Nicolaus, while Carlie Sanchez finished with nine points in the win over the Honkers.
This week the RedHawks (13-11, 6-4) were in Arbuckle on Tuesday, Paradise on Wednesday, and Durham on Friday.
Boys:
Colusa 85 – East Nicolaus 34 (1/31)
Colusa 81 – Willows 53 (2/3)
The RedHawks averaged 83 points in two Sacramento Valley League contests last week, and in the process extended their win streak to 21 straight games and upped their overall record to 21-4.
At home last Tuesday, Colusa jumped out to a 26-5 first quarter lead and never looked back as it went on to crush the Spartans.
Seth Kalisuch pumped in 22 points and Landon Humphrey wasn’t far behind with 21, as the pair shot a combined 63 percent from the floor.
Niko Silvas added 11 points to the total on a night where the RedHawk defense made 19 steals.
Colusa followed up in Willows with another relatively easy victory behind 21 points from Humphrey and 14 from Kalisuch, while 11 other RedHawks also broke into the scoring column.
In the final week of the regular season, the RedHawks squared off against Pierce in Arbuckle on Tuesday, made the trek to Paradise on Wednesday, and return to Don Bransford Gymnasium to host Durham on Friday.
