Pierce earned its first two Sacramento Valley League wins this season by completing a sweep of Paradise last week.
In Paradise on March 29, the Bears prevailed 6-4 behind a combined effort on the mound from Luke Myers and Ryan Travis.
Myers started the game and went five and two-thirds innings before yielding to Travis who closed out the game.
At the plate Brayden Hoebel had a nice outing finishing 3 for 4 with a double.
Pierce carried the momentum forward when they returned home on April 1 to down the Bobcats 6-5.
Valentino Serrafini led the way for the Bears driving in the game winner as part of his 3 for 3, three RBI day.
Travis went 2 for 4 and knocked in a pair of runs, while Kaden Davis was 2 for 4 with an RBI for Pierce, who banged out 13 hits against Bobcat pitching.
On the hill, Hoebel went six innings fanning seven before giving way to Travis, who closed out the final frame.
The Bears (4-7, 2-2) had the unenviable task of taking on undefeated Colusa this week, when they hosted the RedHawks on April 4, and will complete the series on the road today. ■
