It didn’t take long for the No. 2 Colusa RedHawks to dismiss No. 7 Paradise as they dominated the Bobcats 25-11, 25-11, 25-5 at home on Oct. 26, to advance to the semi-final round of the CIF Northern Section volleyball playoffs.
Colusa dictated the pace throughout the match, starting at the service line, where seven different players combined for 20 aces.
Abby Myers distributed 25 assists to facilitate the RedHawk offense, which saw Reese Roper and Karsyn Gwinnup tally eight kills apiece.
Defensively, Myers finished with a team-high 10 digs, while Anahi Guzman pitched in with eight.
The RedHawks (31-7) continued their quest to defend their section title when they hosted No. 3 Willows (16-13), a team they have beaten twice already this season, on Nov. 2. ■
