In the past week, Ive spent a great few days with pals Deb and Connie at a house in Mendocino. It was cold and rainy for a while, but still a great ocean view. Later, I met up with my girls Velvet and Jodi. We visited our friend Jessi, who also has a house by the ocean. Its beautiful.
So far, weve been on a whale-watching boat. The big guys were swimming right next to the ship. Amazing!
We spent time with my sister Ann and brother-in-law Samuel. It was a wonderful visit with lots of memories and laughter.
We saw a beautiful covered bridge in Oregon. Velvet and I hadnt seen one since our visit to Vermont years ago. We had a spectacular meal at Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay.
This morning, we woke up in a lovely little condo next to a beach and rolling waves of the ocean.
This week, well head back to North Dakota. Weve loved our time on the beautiful California and Oregon coasts, but its time to head back to the prairie where we belong. We do love the prairie!
Life is definitely good today.
