Funeral services for Ella Marian Marty, 100, of Colusa, are scheduled for 2PM on Saturday, Oct. 15, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 642 Fifth Street in Colusa. A private burial to follow.
Ella passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on October 5, 2016 at her home in Colusa, CA at the age of 100. Ella was born March 5, 1916 in Powers, Oregon to General Harion (Harry) Hampton and May Alvira (Allie) Wyant Hampton. She attended school in Oregon moving to Grass Valley, CA in 1934 then to Colusa and Sutter Counties until 1966. She returned to Colusa three years ago after a 44-year residence in Idaho.
She always loved her church. While a resident of Idaho, she served on the altar guild, vestry and as treasurer at St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Idaho Falls. At the time of her death, she was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Colusa.
Ella is survived by her daughter; Donna Critchfield of Colusa, CA. Granddaughter; Diane Mabray (Phil) of Biggs, CA. Grandson; Dennis Fusaro (Lora) of Colusa, CA. Great-grandchildren; Patience Mabray, Patrick Mabray, Elizabeth Mabray, Miles Mabray, Drake Fusaro, Dylan Fusaro and Great-granddaughter; Evangelina Vargas.
In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years Joseph M. Marty, sister Etta St. Peters and her daughter Betty Brown
