In their first game following an emotional win in Loyalton on January 31, the Eagles had to come from behind on the road to defeat PAA, but then cruised to a win at home over Westwood to remain undefeated in the Pioneer League for the first time since 2009-2010.

Leading the way against PAA, as has been the case all season long, was Junior Andrade who delivered a 42-point 11-assist double-double to lift Princeton over the Cougars.
Corwyn Roberson finished a rebound short of a double-double with 19 points and nine boards, while younger brother Chris brought down 16 rebounds.
Returning home on Feb. 9, the Eagles extended their win streak to 12 straight with a triumph over the visiting Lumberjacks.
Seniors carried the load in their final regular season game for Princeton, with Andrade pouring in 35 points, Corwyn Roberson ending the night with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double, while Tito Reynoso and Alex Winn added 10 and eight points, respectively.
The Eagles (21-1) now begin their quest for the Northern Section Division VII title as the No. 1 seed and took to the court on Feb. 15 at home against the winner between No. 8 Big Valley and No. 9 Surprise Valley in a second round match-up.
Pierce 45 – Colusa 77 (2/6)
Pierce 69 – Live Oak 38 (2/9)
After a disappointing loss to Colusa to start last week, Pierce took out its frustration on visiting Live Oak to conclude Sacramento Valley League play.
In Colusa, Alfonso Orozco was the only Bear player to reach double figures, finishing the game with 10 points.
It was a much more successful outing for Pierce against the Lions as Drew Burnum tossed in 17 points, while Orozco, in his last regular season game for the blue and gold added 16 points and dished out six assists.
Additionally for the Bears, Gavin Guynn and Rodney Hofhenke each collected eight rebounds.
As the SVL’s third place team, Pierce (11-17) was seeded No. 8 in the NSCIF Division IV playoffs and hosted No. 9 Winters on Wednesday.
Maxwell 39 – Biggs 74 (2/6)
Maxwell 38 – Los Molinos 42 (2/9)
Despite dropping its last two regular season games, Maxwell finished as the third place team in the Mid-Valley League.
Statistics were not provided by the Panthers (11-14), who began NSCIF Division VI playoff action on Tuesday as the No. 5 seed when they traveled to Etna to face the No. 4 Lions.
Williams 61 – CORE Butte 53 (2/6)
Williams 54 – Biggs 82 (2/9)
The Yellowjackets saw their season come to an end last week after picking up a win over CORE Butte on the road before falling to visiting Biggs at home.
In Chico against the Lynx, Kyden Bowen dropped 27 points to lead Williams, while Miguel Murillo finished with 16 points.
No statistics from the loss to the Wolverines were provided.
Williams (8-17) ended the season as the MVL’s fifth place team.
Girls:
Pierce 31 – Colusa 55 (2/6)
Pierce 36 – Live Oak 16 (2/9)
An up and down regular season continued last week as Pierce overcame a loss in Colusa to down Live Oak and even its conference record at 7-7.
Although the Bears hung around in the first half against the RedHawks, such was not the case after intermission as Colusa took control of the contest.
Magali Jauregui tied her season-high with 17 points in the loss.
Pierce did not provide any statistics from the win over Live Oak.
This week, the No. 9 seeded Bears (13-14) traveled to Orland on Monday for the season’s rubber match against the No. 8 Trojans in the first round of the NSCIF Division IV playoffs.
Maxwell 37 – Biggs 22 (2/6)
Maxwell 32 – Los Molinos 36 (2/9)
After a big win over Biggs on the road, the Panthers came up short in Los Molinos against the Bulldogs.
Emma Hendrix added to her double-double total this season with 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead Maxwell against the Wolverines.
Camila Hernandez contributed 10 points to the cause, while Bailee Haywood and Teresita Salazar pulled down eight boards apiece.
In the loss to Los Molinos, Salazar had a team-high 14 points with Hendrix finishing with 12 points and nine rebounds.
No. 6 seeded Maxwell (9-8) had a first round NSCIF Division VI playoff game on Wednesday in McArthur against No. 3 Fall River.
Princeton 43 – Paradise Adventist Academy 21 (2/6)
Princeton 25 – Westwood 21 (2/9)
The county’s most improved team closed out the regular season last week with two victories.
In the win over PAA, Mackenzie Wills posted an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double, while Starlin Smith and Sissy Winn each pitched in with eight points.
Against Westwood, Reyna Sullivan had a big game with 13 rebounds, eight points and seven steals to lead the Eagles to victory in the tight contest.
Princeton (7-9) received the fifth seed in the NSCIF Division VII playoffs and played Wednesday on the road against No. 4 Chester.
Williams 19 – CORE Butte 43 (2/6)
Williams 20 – Biggs 30 (2/9)
A young Yellowjacket team rounded out the season last week with a pair of losses.
On the road against CORE Butte, JV call-up Caitlyn Ruiz had a team-high seven points, while Lupita Zuniga tallied six points and six rebounds.
Williams (1-17) did not provide statistics from the game against Biggs.
