Friday, June 26

Senior Spread, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the second and fourth Friday’s of each month at Trinity Friendship Hall, 511 Oak St., Colusa. A gathering for senior citizens, with lunch served at noon. Cost is $5, or $3 if you bring a dish to share.

Commodity Distribution – 11 a.m. to noon, Grimes Scout Cabin, 15 S. Fourth St., Grimes. Commodities will be distributed by the North State Food Bank Emergency Food Assistance Program while supplies last. Information: 530-712-2600.

Thursday, July 2

250th Anniversary Birthday Party – 5:30 to 7 p.m., Colusa County Free Library, 738 Market St., Colusa. Celebrate the 250th anniversary of reading with an evening of crafts, cupcakes and a special story time. The free family event is hosted by the Colusa County Free Library. Kids Bike Decorating, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Grimes Library. Children and families are invited to decorate bicycles for the July 4 Kids Bike Parade in Grimes. Decorating supplies will be provided, and participants are welcome to bring their own accessories to personalize their bikes. Free and open to the community.

Saturday, July 4

Pie a Firefighter Fundraiser, Support the Colusa Firefighters Association by donating to have a firefighter receive a pie in the face. Donations may be made through the association’s Venmo account @colusafirefighters, with donors asked to include the firefighter’s name in the memo. The firefighter who raises the most money will be pied on July 4. Proceeds will support local fire department programs and activities.

Grimes 175th Birthday Celebration and Parade – 8 a.m. to noon, Grimes. The community is invited to celebrate the 175th birthday of Grimes and Independence Day with a morning of family activities, vendors and a parade. Parade entries are welcome, including floats, classic cars, clubs, businesses, marching groups and community members. No registration is required. Parade participants should arrive at Grimes Elementary School by 9 a.m., with the parade beginning at 10 a.m. Vendors available with food, crafts, specialty vendors, local organizations and informational exhibits. Colusa’s America 250 Celebration, 8 a.m. until dark, Main Street between Fifth and 10th streets, downtown Colusa. Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a full day of family-friendly activities, including a rib cook-off, kids parade, car and motorcycle show, live music by Driver, food vendors, water slides, face painting, games, food trucks and community booths. The kids parade begins at 3 p.m. and welcomes decorated bikes, trikes, wagons and strollers. The rib cook-off runs from 6:30 a.m. to noon with cash prizes awarded to top teams. Colusa Assembly of God Bake Sale, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sav Mor Foods, Colusa. The Colusa Assembly of God will host a bake sale featuring a wide variety of homemade treats. Community members are invited to stop by and pick up desserts for their Fourth of July celebrations. Proceeds will support the church’s Vacation Bible School program, which is offered free to children in the community. Organizers encourage residents to support the fundraiser and community outreach efforts.

Saturday, July 11

Old Time Fly-In, Beginning at 7 a.m., Colusa County Airport. Hosted by the Colusa County Aviation Association, the event features a pancake, egg and sausage breakfast for $15, including coffee, juice or water. Breakfast is free for pilots and children under 10. Aircraft awards will be presented at 9 a.m. for furthest traveled, best appearing aircraft, people’s favorite and oldest aircraft. Wednesday, July 15

Williams Fire Station #20 Groundbreaking Ceremony, 10 a.m., 100 Ella St., Williams. The Williams Fire Protection Authority will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the future Bill Vann Memorial Fire Station #20. Community members are invited to attend and celebrate the start of construction on the new facility. Project completion is anticipated in June 2027.

Arbuckle, 150th Celebration, Beginning at 10 a.m., downtown Arbuckle. The Arbuckle Revitalization Committee invites the community to celebrate 150 years of community and hometown pride with a day of family-friendly activities. Events include a parade at 10 a.m., a vendor fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a rib cook-off and cornhole tournament from 2 to 6 p.m., and a street dance from 6 to 9 p.m. Additional attractions include live music, a kids carnival, watermelon and pie eating contests, an old western gunfight and bucket brigade activities. Colusa Fire Family Fun Day, Noon to 3 p.m., Davison Park (Pool Park), 933 Parkhill St., Colusa. Hosted by the Colusa Firefighters Association, this donation-only community event will feature games, water activities, food and family-friendly fun for all ages. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be served. Organizers invite families to attend for an afternoon of community fellowship and summer fun.

Tuesday, Aug. 4

Williams National Night Out – 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., E Street near the Williams Fire Department, Williams. Meet local police officers, firefighters and first responders during this free community event. National Night Out will feature food, games, family activities, safety demonstrations and opportunities to connect with public safety personnel.
